The Governor of Kwara State has announced the passing of his Chief of Staff, Prince AbdulKadir Mahe, in a heartfelt statement released on Saturday, December 28, 2024.
“In total submission to the will of Allaah, I regret to announce the passing of my Chief of Staff, Prince AbdulKadir Mahe, which occurred this morning,” the Governor stated.
Describing Prince Mahe as a “perfect gentleman, community leader, urbane public servant, and a statesman,” the Governor expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the respected official.
He extended his condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari; the family of Prince Mahe; government officials; and cabinet members, while calling for understanding during this period of mourning.
“We ask for the understanding of everyone at this mournful period as the government and family mourn the quintessential public servant,” he noted.
The Governor concluded with prayers for Prince Mahe, asking Allaah to accept his return, ease his accounts, grant him al-Jannah Firdaus, and uphold his family in strength and goodness.
