Former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, on Monday, joined sons and daughters of Kwara to celebrate the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari on his 29th anniversary on the throne.
Saraki described the Emir’s reign as a blessing to the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State at large, considering his immeasurable impact in fostering unity, promoting peace, and ensuring development across the state.
In a statement signed by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, the Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, also lauded the revered monarch for his leadership as the Chairman of Kwara State Traditional Council.
His leadership, he stated, has helped to confer respect on the royal stool and promote unity across the nooks and crannies of Kwara State.
The Waziri prayed to Allah to grant the traditional ruler a long life, good health, and the grace to do more exploits.
The statement read: “Today, I join the people of the Ilorin Emirate in particular, and Kwara State in general, in congratulating His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Emir of Ilorin, on the 29th anniversary of his ascension to the throne as the Mai Martaba.
“His Royal Highness’s reign has been marked by a steadfast commitment to peace and progress, which has strengthened unity and fostered development across the Emirate.
“It is my earnest prayer that he continues to reign for many years in peace and prosperity, bringing blessings to the Emirate and its people”, he stated.
