Amad Diallo has provided an explanation for why he took down all of his Manchester United images from social media.
Last season, while on loan at Sunderland in the Championship, Diallo excelled, making 37 appearances and scoring an outstanding 13 goals in the league.
He seems ready to fight for a starting position in the squad this coming season.
However, Diallo has only appeared in three games—two of which were in the Premier League—since joining Man United again.
ADAM DIALLO seemed to shut down his social media accounts entirely after removing any mention of Manchester United.
His X bio was altered to say “this will all end” in French, and pictures of Diallo on loan at Sunderland the previous season were included on both his cover and profile pictures.
After his summertime return to United, he had only posted one post—a Saturday changing room video featuring Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo.
In the interim, he removed all but three of his Instagram posts.
The final three snaps were from his final season with the Black Cats.
Diallo did not enter the game on Saturday, watching teammate winger Alejandro Garnacho score two penalties, one each from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford, to give United a much-needed 2-0 Premier League victory over Everton.
He’ll be aiming to play in Sunday’s exciting FA Cup quarterfinal matchup against Liverpool.
