It is reported that Murphy Afolabi, a well-known Yoruba actor and filmmaker, died just 24 hours after Saint Obi, a well-known Nollywood actor, did.
On Sunday, May 14, 2023, the Yoruba movie actor is said to have passed out in the bathroom of his Ikorodu, Lagos, house.
A filmmaker and the president of the Yoruba movies directors guild, Seun Olaiya, revealed the awful news on a WhatsApp forum used by filmmakers.
He was supported by Abdullahi Abdulrasaq, the managing director of the renowned film marketing company Corporate Pictures Nigeria Limited.

The Osun State graduate of Iree Polytechnic had appearances in more than 60 movies before his death.
His filmography includes “Ifa Olokun,” “Omowunmi,” “Jimi Bendel,” “Wasila Coded,” “Olokiki Oru,” and “Idera.”
