Greeting the state’s Christian citizens on the occasion of Easter, Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq described the holiday as a time of reflection, self-control, sacrifice, forgiveness, and devotion to God.
The Governor asked Nigerians in a statement released on Saturday to use the occasion to pray for their nation and stay away from any divisional inclinations.
“The Easter celebrations occur at a unique time in our national life when we have recently chosen new legislators and chief executives to lead the country’s affairs for the next four years.” In the spirit of Easter and the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, we must bury the hurt sentiments that arose during the election campaign.
“I wish everyone greater strides and glad tidings as we celebrate the festivities.” Governor Abdulrazaq said.
