….with no project to commission, the President avoids Kwara Governor.
The Presidential media aide, Mr. Femi Adeshina has confirmed in a statement that President Muhammadu Buhari will be in Mauritania for a two-day official engagement. According to the aide, the event will be concluded on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023.
Recall that the President was bidded to attend the campaign of the APC Presidential candidate scheduled to hold in Kwara on Tuesday, 17th January, 2023 and proceed to commission some projects by the state government. The President has decided to jet off by Monday, meaning he will be absent from the event.
With the President’s confirmed absence, sources close to the Kwara Government are saying the President’s absence may not be far from the non-readiness of projects to be commissioned, which could have added elegance to the campaign in the state.
Experts, CSOs, NGOs, and citizens have protested the rushing of the ongoing projects, while registering worries on quality delivery.
