Kwara State Students Reject Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq Re-election

****says Governor has plunged state into debts, brought woes and scammed the students on bursary.

This was disclosed by the National Association of Kwara State Students, National Headquarters in a text of press conference address released to the press on the eve of January 11th, 2023.

According to Comrade Wokili, the President of the Association, the Governor in person of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has tricked citizens of the state, while lamenting that he is untrustworthy. The body alleged that the Governor has refused to disclose to the students and citizens of the state how much was disbursed for bursary, while lamenting that the lack of transparency in the disbursement is scam.

In registering his worries on the disbursement, he said lack of data and information which costs nothing on the side of the government has made it difficult to measure and evaluate the disbursement.

According to the President, he revealed that “…it is the unanimous decision of the leadership of the National Association of Kwara State Students, National NHQ to pass a vote of no confidence on Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the executive Governor of Kwara State.”

He stressed further that “The reasons of the above is not unconnected to the fact that for over 3 years now under current APC-led administration, Kwara has remain stagnant in terms of security, economy, education, infrastructure developments. In a bid to salvage the situation and pass a strong message to parents, civil servants, students and the entire people of Kwara State, we have decided to address a press conference today, stating facts and reasons why the Governor must not be re-elected, and as a matter of fact, not fit for the job.”

The Association went on to chide Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s refusal to invest in tertiary education, increase school fees among others.
