Kwara South Senator in the 8th Senate, Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim has felicitated with a Chieftain of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Hon. Gbenga Makanjuola on his investiture as “Knight of St. Christopher,” in Omu-Aran.
Gbenga Makanjuola, the former Deputy Chief of Staff to the President of the Senate in the 8th National Assembly, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, CON was on Sunday inducted as Knight of St. Christopher by the Anglican Diocese of Omu-Aran at the St Paul Cathedral, Omu-Aran, Irepodun LGA of Kwara State.
In a congratulatory message on Sunday in Ilorin, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim said the induction highlights the consummate status of Makanjuola as a devout individual even in the Christendom, and the role he plays in the propagation of God’s work just as he does in societal development.
“You have done a whole lot in governance, and you are still doing in service to humanity. This investiture is an additional call to the service of your Lord, the Creator as well as mankind,” he said.
The Senator said he has utmost trust in Makajuola, a brother and friend from Kwara South, to perform exceptionally in his pious task, and use the sacred position to help enhance restoration of sanity in a society bedeviled by inhumanity and daunting social vices.
While congratulating Makanjuola and his family, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim prayed God Almighty to grant the PDP Chieftain strength and wisdom to excel in his new assignment and for the good of the society.
