The Kwara South Senator in the 8th National Assembly, Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, has sympathized with the Aromoye family in Ojoku over the death of his kinsman, Alhaji Bello Usman Babatunde.
The senator who paid the condolence visit to his country home Ojoku on Tuesday and who is also a descendant of the Aromoye family, met with the wife, children and other immediate family members of the deceased.
Rafiu described the death of the deceased as shocking and painful.
Until his death, Alhaji SB Babatunde, was a devoted Muslim and a strong community leader who participated actively to the development of the family and his community.
“I received the news of his death with a rude shock and sadness, it is my prayer that God Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljanah Firdaus,” he said.
The Senator also visited the matriarch of the Aromoye, Alhaja Hassanat Sadiq, Iyalode of Ojoku and prayed Almighty Allah forgives the souls of the departed in the family and grant them Al-Janah Firdaus.
Emotional laden Hajia Hassanat, prayed for Senator Rafiu Ibrahim for his responsiveness and support at all times to the family and the community.
She however urged every member of the family to stay united and and live together in peace.
During the visit, the Senator also visited some other family members in Ojoku who had recently lost their loved ones.
He extended his condolences to the immediate and extended family of the deceased as well as their entire family members.
The Senator rounded up with the visit to the palace of Olojoku of Ojoku, HRH, Oba Abdulrasaq Adegboyega Afolabi Iyiolasemi III, where he paid homage to the Kabiesi, in preparation for the Eid-fitr celebration which marks the end of this year’s Ramadan.
The monarch then prayed God Almighty accept all the act of Ibadah during the holy month and grant ummah its rewards.
