Saraki visits Ilorin Chief Imam over Wife’s Death

The former Senate President, and Waziri ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, today paid a condolence visit to the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammadu Bashir Soliu, on the demise of his wife, Hajia Hafsat Bashir Imam.

Saraki in an earlier statement by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulqadir Abdulganiyu, said he joined family members, relatives, sons and daughters of the Emirate to mourn the deceased.

He described the late Hajia Hafsat as a God-fearing woman and a pillar of support to her husband and children, noting that she would be sorely missed for her love, sacrifice and service to the family and immediate community .

During the visit, Saraki prayed to Almighty Allah to overlook the shortcomings of the deceased, count her among those who have benefitted from the month of Ramadan and admit her into Aljannah firdaus.

He also asked Allah to comfort Imam Bashir and members of his family at this period of grief.

The Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh Muhammadu Bashir Soliu, in return, prayed for the Waziri ngeri of Ilorin Emirate and his entourage for the visitation.

Sheikh Yusuf Muritador Pakata Kusi, on behalf of the Chief Imam and the entire family, appreciated Saraki for the condolence visit and prayed Almighty Allah accept his prayers.
