The immediate past Senate President Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki has called on Muslims to take advantage of the last ten days of Ramadan to seek forgiveness from Almighty Allah and also forgive their neighbours.
Saraki made the call on Wednesday while hosting Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders from Baruten and Kaiama local government areas of Kwara State to Iftar Dinner at his GRA Ilorin residence, according to a statement by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir.
The Waziri of Ilorin Emirate, who arrived town on Monday, had made known his decision to break his tradition and spend the last ten days of Ramadan in the State capital.
Speaking further, Saraki urged party members to bury whatever differences or misgivings they might have harboured in the aftermath of the last general election, by joining hands together to ensure the party is united going into the next election.
The stakeholders who appreciated Saraki for his words of advice, described him as a unifying leader and rallying point for all. They also promised to work together to ensure PDP takes back power from the inept All Progressives Congress, APC government led by Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
