Eid Il Adha: Wahab Issa Greets Muslims

… Urges Faithfuls To Pray For Peace, End To COVID-19 Pandemic

A former Member of the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, Hon. Abdulwahab Oladimeji Issa has extended his heartfelt greetings to Muslim faithfuls celebrating Eid al-Adha across the country, urging them to capitalise on the celebration to pray God for an end to COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria and beyond.

In a Sallah message issued by his Media officer, Hon. Issa appealed to Kwarans and Nigerians to celebrate with caution amid the unabated spread of the deadly virus ravaging the entire human race.

“Kwarans from all walks of life, as we celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival, I wish to salute your steadfastness in spite of the devastating challenges the whole world is currently going through. This situation is a disincentive to progress and development. I urge us to use the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir to heal our communities by drawing on our cherished values of tolerance, respect and selflessness,” he said.

“Our ways of life are not what it used to be. Today, we cannot do some things the way we use to do them before. Muslims cannot go to the praying ground to observe Eid prayers. We cannot gather to hold Sallah celebration. This is indeed, a trying time for the world but in all, we should appreciate Almighty Allah for counting us to be among those who are witnessing today. You may not have the opportunity to go to praying grounds for prayers but we should use today to ask God to heal the world of this pandemic so that normalcy can return to the world.”

Hon. Issa therefore prayed that Allah would give the faithfuls opportunity to celebrate many more years in good health.
