In furtherance of his humanitarian gesture, former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki on Thursday distributed cows, rams, food and clothing materials worth millions of naira to different categories of people in Kwara State.
Among those who benefited from Saraki’s Sallah gifts are traditional rulers, Islamic clerics, Community leaders, ward members and others. Clothing materials were also distributed to hundreds of women in different parts of the State.
The Director General of ABS Constituency Office, Musa Abdullahi who oversaw the distribution exercise, said the gesture was borne of Saraki’s compassion and desire to see his people celebrate the festival with joy.
Recall that Saraki in May doled out Ramadan packages to several individuals and groups in Kwara. He had earlier in May doled out N10,000 each to about 2500 vulnerable Kwarans to support them during the difficult times occasioned by the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic.
Abdullahi on behalf of Saraki wish Muslim faithful in Kwara and across the world a joyous Eid-el-kabir celebration.
