The Kwara PDP deputy governorship candidate in the 2019 election, Hon Gbenga Makanjuola, has extolled the virtues of the late Abdulmajeed Oba Olanrewaju, who died at the early hour of Sunday in Lagos.
Makanjuola, who commiserated with the Olanrewaju family and the entire Peoples’ Democratic Party members in Kwara State over the death of Abdulmajeed popularly called Larry, said he was a distinguished humanitarian enthusiast and philanthropist.
In a statement made available to the press, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the immediate past Senate President, described the news of Larry’s death as shocking and devastating.
Makanjuola noted that the soft-spoken Olanrewaju was a young man of great humility and ever bubbling with life and great ideas.
According to him, “the death of the young man who was the PDP candidate for Ilorin North-West State Constituency in the 2019 election was a shocking and devastating one. He was a promising youth that lived a short but impactful life.
“His death is a huge minus from our fold. I sincerely commiserate with his immediate family, the good people of Alanamu ward, Ilorin West LG. and the entire Kwara PDP.
“It is my prayer that the Almighty God forgive his shortcomings, grant his soul eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” Makanjuola said
