In the spirit of alms giving during Ramadan, the foundation founded by the former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Foundation, has begun the distribution of food items as palliatives to Kwarans, as his usual cushioning effects, through the Foundation’s Director, Community Impacts, Mallam Otukoko Olayinka Ibrahim.
The ABS Foundation visited the Headquarters of the Nigeria Correctional Service in Ilorin where the items, including bags of rice and semo, were received by the Deputy Comptroller of Correction, Mr. Owolabi Alabi.
The team also visited Nigeria Correctional Service Centres, Mandala and Okekura where the Deputy Comptroller of Correction, Mr. Abejire Ayoola and Welfare Officer, Adam Seriki, received same items on behalf of the respective centres.
At both Mandala and Oke-Kura, the Correctional Officers appreciated the usual humanitarian gestures to their centres from Sen. Bukola Saraki and prayed God continues to protect and uplift him.
However, the foundation also bestowed equal numbers of items to the service’s juvenile rehabilitation centre, BORSTAL Training Institute, located at Gonmo, where it was received by the officers in charge of the institute.
