One person was confirmed dead on Wednesday in an auto crash on the Onitsha-Owerri Expressway in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Three others sustained injuries in the multiple motor accident.
A bystander who witnessed the incident attributed it to brake failure.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in the state, Andrew Kumapayi confirmed the incident to our correspondent.
He said, ” Six male adults were involved in the crash which claimed the life of one person with three others sustaining different degrees of injury.
He added that the victims were rushed to a hospital, while the corpse was deposited at the mortuary by a good Samaritan.
It was gathered that the crash involved three vehicles; a Daf Truck with reg no. NNE733XA, an Iveco Truck with reg no. RRN733XA and a Dangote Truck, which plate number was removed before the arrival of the FRSC rescue team.
While condoling with the deceased’s family, Kumapayi wished the victims speedy recovery.
