•Minister decorates AbdulRazaq as “Game Changer” in the world of Sport
As the 7th Edition of the Kwara Sports Festival comes to an end, the Honorable Minister of Sports and Youth Development joined the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman
AbdulRazaq in sharing the thrills and spills of the memorable sporting, cultural and social activities geared towards promoting youth and sports development in the state.
The event which kick-started on Monday 27th of January, 2019 after 15 years was staged for athletes drawn from all the sixteen Local Government Areas in the state by the AbdulRazaq led administration in a bid to revolutionise sports by specifically discovering, nurturing and promoting local talents in the grassroots.
While arriving at the venue of the Volleyball Match between Offa LGA and Isin LGA at the Kwara Stadium Complex huge cheers from the crowd no doubt showed it was an event they never wanted to see its end.
The Minister for Sports and Youth Development, Mr Sunday Dare was accompanied by his host the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who was in company of Commissioner for Finance and Planning, Oyeyemi Olasumbo Florence; Commissioner for Youth and Sport, Nnazua Joana Kolo; Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mrs Aisha Ahman Pategi and Commissioner for Special Duties Oyedun Juliana among others.
Mr Sunday Dare took time to extol the sport loving virtues of AbdulRazaq tagging him a silent achiever, while also decorating him with a gold medal as a “Game Changer” in the world of sports for reviving Kwara Sports Festival in the state after 15years.
