Federal lawmaker trains 5 Kwara youths on micro toilet construction

Hon. Tunji Olawuyi, the member representing Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-Ero Federal Constituency, has facilitated the training of no fewer than five people on how to build micro flash toilets.

The lawmaker, who is also the Chairman of the House Committee on Disaster and Emergency Preparedness, said the training was aimed at reducing unemployment among the youths in the constituency.

Olawuyi said more people from the constituency would benefit from other training initiatives targeted at human capital development.

He said a robust train-to-fund small/medium scale vocational/business initiative that would incorporate more than 1,500 beneficiaries in the constituency was also underway.

Abdulganiyu Abdulsalam, a Senior Legislative Aide to Olawuyi who coordinated the training, said it was aimed at reducing unemployment.

“One of our aims of sponsoring the training it to promote good sanitation.

“It is a cheap way of constructing public toilets and ensuring management of water resources.

“The Micro Flash Toilet is environment friendly and does not bring any hazard to the host community, ” Abdulsalam said.
