‘Nobody pushed me’ in Trump call, says Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says that he was not pushed in a call with U.S. President Donald Trump to open an investigation into Joe Biden.

“Nobody pushed me,” Zelensky said in New York as he met with Trump. “I’m sorry but I don’t want to be involved to democratic open … elections of USA,” he added, speaking in English.

He noted that the transcript had been released. “I think you read it.”

Trump stressed that he wants Ukraine to “stop corruption” and said again that there was “no pressure” about Biden, Trump’s political rival, in the call.
